Standardized Testing Information
Freshmen/Sophomore Students:
The PSAT will be administered to all 9th and 10th grade students in April. 
*Students will not need to register or pay for these exams.
Junior Students:
All junior students are given the PSAT/NMSQT in October.  This is the only opportunity for students to sit for the National Merit Qualifying Exam each school year.
*Students will not need to register or pay for this exam.
M-STEP:
All Junior students MUST complete the M-STEP, the Michigan Student Test of Educational Process, as a component of the State of Michigan high School Graduation Requirements. 
One of the components of the M-STEP is a free administration of the redesigned, full length SAT.  This SAT can be used for college admissions purposes.

*Junior students should complete all standardized testing by the end of their 11th grade year.

Good to Know Facts!!
  • Colleges hope to see students sit for standardized exams at least two times! 
  • The SAT and the ACT are accepted by all schools across the U.S.!  There is no required or preferred exam for any state, including the state of Michigan.
